Maple Iced Latte

A photograph of a sunny garden. Resting on the garden wall is a paperback of The Children of Gods and Fighting Me by Shauna Lawless, an Irish author, along with a tall glass of Maple Iced Coffee. The image is intended to convey the idea of relaxing on a sunny evening with a good book and a cold refreshing drink.

Ingredients (one serving)

  • 1-2 espresso shots
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 200ml milk
  • Ice cubes
  • Chocolate shavings (optional)

Directions

  1. Pour maple syrup into the bottom of a tall glass or mug.
  2. Add espresso and stir. We're caffeine fiends and like 2 shots of espresso, but adjust to suit your own preferred strength.
  3. Fill glass to the brim with ice cubes.
  4. Using a hand-frother, whisk milk until frothy. Whole milk or oat milk will froth easiest, though we actually prefer to use almond milk.
  5. Pour frothed milk over your ice-cubes, using a spoon if necessary to get all that lovely frothy goodness on the top of your glass.
  6. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings to decorate.
  7. Enjoy with a good book!
